A CUT ABOVE THE REST TRAINING FACILITY

A Cut Above the Rest Training Facility (ACARTF) is a 501 (c) (3) organization that provides OSHA Safety, construction, and heavy-equipment training to displaced workers, veterans, and ex-felons throughout Alabama. Currently, we are the only organization that offers our unique services and welcome ex-felons of all risks levels into its program. Our mission is to provide employable skills training so that these individuals can better financially provide for themselves and their families. We do not charge students to attend our program and we allow anyone who wants this training to attend our classes, regardless of their individual circumstance. We operate four (4) training facilities throughout the state including Montgomery, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, and Birmingham.

Our goal is to secure funding so that we may continue to provide these services to individuals within our communities with the greatest needs. ACARTF provides a marketable career pathway within the construction trade industry. The student will learn construction safety, construction math, blueprint reading, rigging, and material handling, gain employability and interview skills, and resume writing skills. They will obtain the OSHA 10 Construction safety card. Our Executive Director and Lead Facilitator are authorized OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 trainers. But what puts our students 'above the rest' is the heavy-equipment training they receive. They learn the operation and maintenance of heavy construction equipment, such as a back-hoe and excavator.
