The core belief of the I'm A Star Foundation is that the essence of leadership is service to mankind. Participants research issues that impact the community and create solutions that will help youths, schools and communities thrive. One of the most unique ways that we have deployed to provide service and volunteer opportunities is through Shoe Customization: (1). We customize/bronze and personalize the service boots worn by retired vets to show appreciation for their service; (2). We train students/adults to customize tennis shoes for "SURVIVORS": Cancer survivors, Stroke survivors, Heart health survivors and veterans who survived wars; (3) we offer "Team Building" opportunities for employees by offering a 2-day team-building session which allows employees to bond together by customizing shoes and donating to survivors - while at the same time providing Team Building principles throughout the customization process. Employees join together as a group and provides shoes to an organization in need.
