The American Legion is committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
An ongoing effort is made to aid veterans in obtaining all of the benefits they are entitled to; for example, the American Legion helped in the struggle to recognize that health issues caused by exposure to Agent Orange are service-connected and therefore compensable.
