We take large metal storage cabinets and set them up at local Volunteer Fire Stations and Police Departments, within the last year we have been adding, food and hygiene items to local food boxes set up at libraries, churches and parks. We take large metal storage cabinets and set them up at local Volunteer Fire Stations and Police Departments, within the last year we have been adding, food and hygiene items to local food boxes set up at libraries, churches and parks. We stock the cabinets with a variety of non perishable foods such as canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, beans, long life milk, etc. we also have added hygiene items, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, razors, lotion, disposable wash cloths and hand sanitize. When we have funds or donations available in the fall and winter we add blankets, socks and gloves. These are items that most people in need don’t have the extra funds for and these are necessary items.
We also take people food when they call and aren’t able to get to our boxes. We don’t want to see anyone go hungry if there is a way we can help. Our motto we add on every Blessing Box we have is “take what you need, leave what you can, have a blessed day “
We have expanded the area of Blessing Boxes of Texas to be able to serve more people in need.
