Bartlett Activities Project:
Coin Club, Sewing Club, Crochet Club, Baking club, LGBT Reading room.
One person to blast the project on social media, Facebook and other platforms seeking donations.
One person to write and send out news release to newspapers make contact to meet submission deadlines, civic centers, and churches seeking their support. Ask if we might setup a collection box in their space
One person to seek donations from local businesses, contact can be made in person, phone, and email.
One person to blast out monetary donation requests and/or bring to the table new ideas on gaining funding. Collaborate with grant writer.
Project begun 2018 – to establish Activities in the City of Bartlett (many already exist in Memphis but none in Bartlett, NONE…what we need:
• Remodel Activity rest room, new toilet, sink and cabinet, mirror, paint walls, target price $6,000
• Labor if not donated $3,000
• Add shelves to hall closet and paint $1,000
• 18 cup coffee pot $130.00
• 1 hot plate $56.00
• 1 micro wave oven $250.00
• New folding chairs $350.00
• Paint room (will require furniture to be moved around) labor $350.00, paint 400.00 = $700.00
• Locksmith needed to install new lock on security door parts and labor $365.00
• Locksmith to reset/change out lock on safe $400.00 (new safe $990.00).
• New Carpet for 14x14 club room $2,000
• All remaining funds to be used to purchase yarn, hooks, cards, cloth, coin rolls, books.
Project total $14,250.00
100% of the funds raised from this event goes to the partnering charity (or charities) of that year, the gallery keeps none of the money raised, we are 100% volunteers’ no one is paid.
