CRUISING FOR KIDS INC

Mission Statement: Cruising For Kids is a 501c (3) organization dedicated to supporting children of those who served in our Armed Forces that were injured, disabled, or KIA (Killed In Action). Our primary goal is to send as many of these children as possible to camp Corral for a worry-free week among peers who understand their experiences. We are only able to do this through generous donations from the public and sponsors. Our Story: In 2018, a small riding club in North Carolina set out to sponsor children of military personnel who were injured, disabled, KIA (Killed In Action) to attend Camp Corral. This initiative aimed to provide these children with a carefree week among peers who share in similar experiences. As the riding club wholeheartedly embraced the cause of supporting military families and Camp Corral, it led to the establishment of Cruising For Kids as an independent 501c (3) organization in 2019. Cruising For Kids maintains a steadfast commitment to supporting children whose parent(s) were injured, disabled or KIA (Killed In Action) while serving the military. We also emphasize that these heroes make our fundamental freedoms possible, and we are dedicated to nurturing the children who represent the future protectors of our liberties. Our Goal: Each year, our goal is to increase the number of children attending Camp Corral compared to the previous year. This is made possible through continuous fundraising efforts, sponsorships, and donations. We actively collaborate with other organizations and participate in community events to raise awareness about our dedication to supporting military children. Our Success: Over the past five years, through our grassroots efforts within the local community, we have raised $50,000. This amount has been generously matched annually by the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), enabling us to support over ninety children to attend Camp Corral for a care-free week. Closing Statement: As a non-profit organization, Cruising For Kids focuses on raising awareness about our mission to support children from military families, those who have a wounded warrior or a lost loved one. Our success relies on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and the outcomes of our annual events. Increased funding allows us to provide more children from these families with transformative and enriching experiences
