Open Doors to Future Possibilities, Inc. is committed to advocating for and serving the marginalized and vulnerable communities in Santa Clara County. Our goal is to help strengthen the hope and resilience of our community members by making it possible for them to give new meanings to their past experiences and create new beginnings and opportunities for their future. We offer life improvement Counseling Services to Individuals, Couples, and Families for only $10 an hour at our Consultation Center for Healing and Transformation. Since September 2019, 85% of our clients graduate from our counseling sessions and achieve their goals within 4 months. The remaining 15% graduate and reach their goals within 12 months.
In our Veterans Programs, we serve all Veterans, including the unhoused and in-transition Veterans and their families, free-of-charge. Here, we offer counseling, workshops, tutoring, transitional housing, groceries, clothing and other necessary supplies in addition to connecting them to benefits and resources so they can experience a smooth transition back to civilian life. Since April 2020, we have served 1,456 Veterans and their families in transitional housing while distributing 5,824 boxes of food and over 1,000 pairs of shoes, socks and other essential supplies!
Through our Homeless Outreach Program, we organize Eagle Runs with our volunteers on a weekly basis serving the neighborhood homeless communities. We distribute packed lunch bags, water, clothes, socks and other essential supplies with the intention to help strengthen the hope and resilience of our community members. Oftentimes, we hear that the homeless feel ignored and don’t find anyone to speak with. Thus, our goal is to offer them our warm alliance so they can tell their stories and be heard. Since April 2020, we have served 8,733 homeless neighbors in our community through our Homeless Outreach Program.
