Idaho Veterans Home Veterans Nursing Home Assistance League, d.b.a. the Idaho Veterans Assistance League To provide assistance to veterans residing at the Idaho State Veterans Homes in the State of Idaho; and further, to assist the Idaho State Veterans Homes in carrying out their mission of serving Idaho’s veterans who have earned special recognition through their sacrifices in protecting our country’s freedoms and individual rights, by providing quality long-term care. The Idaho Veterans Assistance League exists to provide and furnish services specifically designed to meet the religious, physical, social, educational, financial, civic, cultural, recreational and psychological needs of these veterans, as well as to help provide security, happiness, dignity, independence and usefulness and longer life for residents of the Idaho State Veterans Homes.
Idaho Veterans Assistance League (IVAL) supports the Boise Veterans Home residents with individual needs like clothing and hygiene items or funding the Activity Department. The Activity Department meets the needs of residents by providing engagement based on what the resident's needs are. If a resident has advanced dementia, that could be by providing a comforting mechanical "pet" or for more cognitive and social residents – outings!
