SAINT CHARLES COUNTY VETERANS MUSEUM

The museum was the dream of Pvt. Ralph Barrale who landed on Utah Beach, served with Patton at the Battle of the Bulge, and was among the first troops to enter Dachau, the oldest concentration in Germany. Ralph understood the sacrifices made for our freedom and he wished to honor all that served. Ralph's dream was a museum that preserves the stories of our veterans. The museum hopes to create awareness about our veterans struggles and is committed to support veteran causes. We lose 22 veterans a day to suicide. All gave some some, some gave all.

It is important to share their stories with today's youth. The museum does so through a variety of programs. Our podcast interviews veterans and shares their stories and struggles. Our research team can assist with researching and building the stories of veterans. Our highly popular Interview with Heroes utilizes local high school students to interview, video, and preserve the stories of our veterans. The video is then sent to the Library of Congress where it is preserved forever.

The museum is a 501c3 non-profit and receives no funding from state or local government. The museum does not charge an admission fee and relies totally on the generosity of our community.

The museum will be renaming to Mid America Veterans Museum and hopes through support of our community, to build a new facility on Bryan Road in O'Fallon.
