IRONBOUND BOXING & EDUCATION

To change lives through boxing and to foster entrepreneurship among the young people of Newark, NJ. In addition, Ironbound sponsors an annual scholarship, for which anyone participating in a boxing program in Newark is eligible, for young people bound for college, community college, or trade school.

IRONBOUND Boxing & Education (IBE) is a 501(c)(3) organization established to train, educate, and employ people of color in American inner-cities. We provide youth and young adults in American inner-cities, with access to free amateur boxing programs, while simultaneously empowering them through educational content around wellness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Ironbound also runs an incubator and mentoring program for young people looking to learn more about entrepreneurship, establish a small business, or grow one that is already established. Finally, Ironbound operates an annual college/community college/trade school scholarship program for young people affiliated with any boxing gym in Newark.
