Victory Service Dogs is 100% no cost to our local Veterans, First Responders and Children.
We have graduated over 150 clients since 2015, and are proud to state that no graduates have lost their lives.
Suicide Elimination is our goal, as 22 military veterans take their own life daily.
We have approximately 36 clients in classes currently and re-occurring each year.
VSD is striving to continual growth. We hope to increase our yearly graduates from approximately 20 to 50 per year. We have numerous applications coming in daily, and with the proper donor support, we can increase our impact on the community.
The average cost to provide a dog, train, and support a service/therapy dog team is approximately $10,000. Our training program is approximately 1.5 - 2 years long, supporting the client/handler with weekly training classes and supports to the team. The total cost supports exactly 1 client with 1 dog. Being a non-profit, we rely solely on the generosity of individual donors and local business partners.
