Sanctuary at Maple Hill Farms Inc

The Sanctuary at Maple Hill Farms, EIN 47-3302533, is a Maine non-profit corporation, tax exempt under IRC 501(c)(3), organized to provide equine welfare and protection services, helping horses and their owners. We also provide allied community-based social services to the physically/intellectually disabled and food insecure communities, and educational programs for the general public.
We take in homeless and neglected horses and rehabilitate them so that they can once again become useful. Horses that have medical problems or are aged may live out their lives with us, but if a horse is suitable for placement, we will seek out a new home for him or her.
We provide a safe, friendly place for volunteers and families to learn about horsekeeping and horsemanship. We offer workshops, seminars, and events throughout the year. Our Heart to Horse® Programs include volunteer opportunities and coaching for the disabled, youth, returning riders, and veterans. We host and coach the Maple Hill Creative Horsemanship Team which participates in Special Olympics, and we provide a youth/equine development program.
We work with other like-minded non-profit organizations to help provide a more expansive experience, and to create larger opportunities for both horses and people. We do not receive any government support, and we rely primarily on donations from the general public and businesses to help support the horses and our programs. Contributions may be tax deductible contributions or deductible expenses under one or more provisions of the Internal Revenue Code.
