Our Nation’s Heroes Face an Urgent Challenge.
For service members, Veterans, and first responders not addressing the invisible wounds of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) results in both tremendous personal and economic costs as well as lost lives. Each person experiences brain trauma differently but the field has been hindered by a one-size-fits all approach and lack of objective tools to effectively diagnose and treat these conditions, leaving individuals and families to suffer in silence, feeling hopeless as they live with multiple debilitating symptoms.
Our organization is working to bring new hope through healing to this epidemic by raising awareness and funds for Brain Trauma research and advocacy.
Cohen Veterans Bioscience (CVB) is leveraging innovation and technology to build Platforms that enable accelerated discovery and development of more effective diagnostics and treatments across brain diseases and specifically apply them to advance research in PTSD and TBI, conditions that disproportionately affect Veterans, Active Military and First Responders and are a high-risk indicator for suicide.
Our Platforms allow researchers from academia and industry to access and utilize best-in-class tools and allow efforts to be scaled with rigor and reproducibility. Platform efforts focus on capacity that enables reliable discovery of biomarkers and biological pathways that are translationally relevant for the development of diagnostics and therapeutic targets for drug and other medical interventions. Each platform is creating research tools (e.g. preclinical models, data standards, computational models, reference databases, etc.) that will accelerate/foster these discoveries.
Our Platform programs include:
1. The BRAINCommons® - cloud-based data sharing and analytics platform braincommons.org
2. EarlySignal - Decentralized Clinical Trial Platform and Wearable and Home Sensors for monitoring health status
3. RAPID-Dx - Accelerating rapid discovery and validation of biomarkers in Brain Trauma -
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury and related conditions
4. Advocacy - leading collaborative efforts to remove barriers to progress in research and allowing individuals living with Invisible Wounds (PTSD& TBI) to have optimal access to treatment options.

We believe the future of brain trauma testing and treatment is bright. New insights, technologies and our progress in the field over the past 7 years are showing that we can better understand the impact of Brain Trauma on different people, identifying the biological root cause of the trauma and not just treat the symptoms but treatments that will make meaningful impact on their lives.
CVB and our partners are utilizing these advancements to galvanize a first generation of diagnostic tests and targeted treatments that detect TBI and PTSD earlier working to make brain disorders more predictable, recognizable, and treatable and overall optimize brain health.
We welcome your partnership in our mission
