PAWS FOR A CAUSE PA

Paws for a Cause PA was formed in 2014, focused on providing comfort to animals and humans in need, as well as providing support of food, emergency vet bill and financial hardship assistance to unusual situations that may occur. We are also an advocate in the prevention cruelty and abuse to animals and children. Our primary support area is northern Dauphin County - western Schuylkill County and surrounding areas Tremont to Halifax area. We support local animal shelters, providing a network to raise needed funding, collect necessary donations, and to promote awareness of our local animal shelters. Our main focus is helping our elderly and Veterans but we will attempt to help anyone our board deems to truly be in need of assistance. and

At the inception of our organization our mission was to assist our community who struggled with cost of food and pet care. We realized and appreciated the benefits that pet ownership has for our client’s wellbeing and how much pets are an important part of our families. We also recognized that this need not only affected our population living in generational poverty but also some of our families who had life changes that caused financial difficulties. Paws for a Cause PA organized and sprang into action to meet these needs and volunteers developed pet food distributions and assistance for healthcare including neutering, vaccines, and emergency vet bills.
