NEVADA BUSINESS AVIATION ASSOCIATION

At NVBAA, we are proud to provide comprehensive FAA drone pilot training, technical summer camps for high school students and educators, and cutting-edge STEM education programs for K-12 schools. Our initiatives are among the most impactful and recognized in the nation. We actively establish and support after-school clubs—including Aviation, Robotics, and Math—and offer year-round internship opportunities. Our dedication has led to Regional, State, and National Champions, with several teams qualifying for World Championships, reinforcing our mission to expand opportunities for both young individuals and adults. In collaboration with the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA), we have annually delivered the premier Airshow Youth STEM Education Program in the U.S.—the NVBAA STEM Discovery Zone—at the Reno Air Races. In 2019, this program captivated over 10,000 attendees, from students to adults, engaging participants from more than 100 schools and youth organizations in a variety of hands-on technology activities. We are excited to welcome thousands of young enthusiasts to the 2024 STEM Discovery Zone at the Reno Air Show, taking place from October 4-6, 2024. Looking ahead, we are preparing for the 2025 STEM Discovery Zone at the new home of the National Championship Air Races in Roswell, NM, where we will continue our mission of inspiring and educating future innovators in aviation and STEM.
