WAVES OF IMPACT

Waves of Impact was founded by Keith Lovgren and Joshua Harper. Our organization serves a multi purpose role.

1 - Providing free surf camps for kids with special challenges. Most sports like Little League, soccer, etc are not set up for kids who are "outside the norm" to succeed. Our organization allows the kids to experience riding a wave and succeed not matter what their special challenge.

2 - Having a child with special challenges can be a very isolating for families as the kids are not able to enjoy most of the activities that their peers due. Many times families will skip parties, events, etc because of their child's sensory overload can be too much from new environments. This does not happen at the beach. Our events allow the families to meet each other and members of their community who volunteer to make the events happen.

3 - Our wounded vets camp allow vets, many who suffer from PTSD, a chance to get out and reconnect with their peers in an adventurous setting. Many of them make new friendships with fellow vets and volunteers who help them further learn to surf and reintegrate with our community.
