INTERNATIONAL HELLENIC ASSOCIATION

The International Hellenic Association (IHA) undertakes initiatives that promote education, culture, and sustainable development in Greece and among Greek communities abroad.

Its main current projects include:

Smart Islands Initiative (Akritika Nisia): Advancing the economic, social, and cultural development of small and remote islands in the Dodecanese and the Ionian Sea. Within this framework, the IHA led the renovation and reopening of the primary school of Pserimos, and—in collaboration with local authorities and other partners—organized two highly successful international conferences on “Smart Islands”, held in Pserimos (2024) and Kastellorizo (2025).

Support for Hellenic Schools in Northern Epirus and Skopje: Providing assistance to Greek-language schools to help preserve their cultural identity, strengthen community ties, and achieve their educational goals through educational materials, teacher support, and cultural activities.

Educational and Cultural Lectures: Organizing weekly lectures on cultural, educational, and national topics, featuring distinguished speakers from Greece and the global Hellenic Diaspora, to promote dialogue, knowledge exchange, and civic engagement.
