VetsRoll, Inc

Based in Beloit, WI, the award-winning, VetsRoll, Inc is a nationally unique, 100% volunteer, 100% private sector donor funded 501(C)(3) Veteran charity providing a 11-charter coach, 4-day, no cost (to the Veteran) journey to the National Museum of the USAF at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton and then on to Washington, DC, for 220+ Veterans of WWII, Korea, Cold War through 1969 and 'Rosie-the-Riveters' of the WWII Era.

To be eligible for a VetsRoll trip, Veterans must have been active duty by 1969 or earlier and have an honorably discharged DD-214. Veterans age 85+ as of May 1st are guaranteed to make the trip, while other Veterans of 1969 and earlier are taken in the order we receive their names. Veterans who served 1970 and later are encouraged to get in our database for when we eventually move into later years of eligibility.

The VetsRoll trip is provided once per year (inaugural trip was in May 2010), the Sunday through Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend. The May 18-21, 2025 trip is our 14th annual journey (16th year, but we lost two years due to COVID).

Our tagline is CLOSURE*GRATITUDE*RESPECT and our volunteers, community and donors deliver it at a level that most people cannot comprehend..it simply must be experienced firsthand!

From State and local police and motorcycle escorts throughout 8-states plus the DC, to the fire department salutes on bridges across the entire route, to the 1000s of supporters and 1000s of flags, to the Victory Parade complete with a massive fireworks salute at 10p on a Wednesday evening, there is no other small-town salute and display of patriotism that rivals the VetsRoll experience!!

Our 2025 journey (May 18-21, 2025) will mark the ~2680th Veteran and 'Rosie' (currently from 38 different States) to experience this absolute trip of a lifetime...free of charge!!

The trip consists of ELEVEN 56-passenger deluxe motor coaches, a pilot vehicle and a support van, departing from Beloit, WI with an IL State Patrol presidential escort through Chicago and on to IN.

Each of the coaches carries a contingency of 20-22 Veterans and 'Rosies', plus 14-17 volunteer assistants (headed up by two Bus Leaders per bus), who pay their own way for the honor of traveling with our heroes.

Each bus also carries 2-4 medically trained personnel (NP's, EMT's, LPN's, RN's, Paramedics, CNA's, PT's, O2 Techs, PTSD Therapists, etc) who train for this mission and ensure the safety and success we are known for.

VetsRoll also supplies all the wheelchairs (more than 100), walkers, oxygen, O2 concentrators, 2-way radios, 10-defibrillators, etc...plus verification of all dietary needs (even accommodating Vegans and glutton-free needs) and consultation for all medications.

We carry professional photographers and videographers and stay in 3 and 4-star hotels, dine in large, top-notch restaurants, etc.

To pull all this off, we train and plan for every possible detail, including 600 hotel room nights and 4800 meals; emergency scenarios; even terrorism prevention...while delivering a seamless experience that our heroes will take to their graves!

The approximate cost to sponsor a Veteran/Rosie is approximately $850 and our annual operating budget exceeds $400,000, so it takes a lot of grassroots fundraising to continue being as successful as we have.
