CHESAPEAKE THERAPEUTIC RIDING INC

Our mission is to deliver healing and learning to individuals and groups whose minds, bodies and spirits will benefit from the transformative connection between people and horses.

Since 2003, Chesapeake Therapeutic Riding, Inc. (CTR) has provided adaptive horseback riding lessons, and equine assisted learning programs to children and adults with diagnoses and disabilities. CTR is a destination for field trips for school-age children wanting to learn more about horses, while practicing their reading, math, and science skills. We visit nursing homes and assisted living facilities with our Shetland pony, invoking memories for patients suffering from dementia and bringing smiles to everyone's faces. CTR also proudly provides adaptive horseback riding lessons and basic horsemanship skills training to veterans.
