VICTORY HOUSE OF LEHIGH VALLEY

Victory House has been serving the needs of homeless men of the Lehigh Valley for 40 years. In 1985, six community churches - Central Moravian, Christ UCC, Salem Lutheran, St. John's United Methodist, Trinity UCC, Wesley United Methodist and Trinity Episcopal - joined in a covenant relationship and agreed to host the shelter on a rotating basis. In April 1987, the wandering shelter moved into the New Bethany Ministries' building as tenants. After almost a decade of service to the community, the shelter moved to its current home which is able to accommodate 25 adults in an emergency shelter setting and 12 more in single room, transitional housing units. Since our inception in 1985, Victory House has helped over 4,000 homeless men regain their lives.

Victory House provides homeless males with a comprehensive array of supportive services. In an effort to facilitate the independent living and residential stability of our clients, Victory House collaborates with several community-based organizations to provide a complete service system that offers intensive case management, mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, employment assistance, life skills training, health care, residential stability and discharge/follow-up care. We have successfully developed a network of providers in order to offer our clients access to experts in specific fields while ensuring the non-duplication of services.
