The heart of Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation's (WQW) mission lies in the words 'catalyst for positive change.' This is made possible through the serene experience of fly fishing and an abundance of camaraderie, love and respect. WQW's 6-day therapeutic programs create an environment where warriors can discover hope for a better future and the inner courage to find a more positive way of living. For each warrior or caregiver participant, WQW provides:

- Local transportation
- Home cooked meals prepared by volunteers
- Professional fly fishing instruction and gear
- Top-of-the-line fishing gear for participants to keep
- ADA-accessible accommodations
The Solo FX brings six first-time warrior particpants together for a week of camaraderie. Participation in an FX may be the first time a warrior has asked for, or accepted, help. It may be his or her first time stepping onto the path of emotional or spiritual healing.
