Immigrant Children Advocates’ Relief Effort (ICARE)

ICARE is a collaborative of nonprofit organizations, which includes Catholic Charities Community Services, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), Legal Aid Society, Safe Passage Project, and The Door, that provide free legal services to unaccompanied children fighting deportation in New York City, and specifically in your district.
Since our inception in 2014, ICARE has represented over 2,000 children and offered know- your-rights trainings, legal screenings, connections to city and social services, and ensured that vulnerable immigrant children do not have to face court alone. We are dedicated to expanding access to legal representation for unaccompanied minors facing removal (deportation) in New York City with the ultimate goal of universal access to counsel in the coming years.
