par STYX RIVER PARROT RESCUE

My boyfriend Theodore Palkovic and I (Jodi Steely) opened a 501c3 non profit Parrot Rescue. Right now, we're leasing 3 acres on Styx River in Robertsdale Al and we were told by our landlords that we have 6 months to purchase the property or they're putting it up for sale, so we are trying to purchase the property, but we could really use the help to come up with $200,000.00. When we do purchase this property we're going to start construction of the trails that go down to Styx River with enclosures along the trails for people to come enjoy a walk and see the birds, and a building that will be the office which will include a quarantine room and a vet care area . We are taking in birds that need a home in the meantime due to people either passing away or can no longer care for them due to illness or they were abused or released into the wild where they can't survive. We're not opened to the public yet. Donations don't have to be money, we could use supplies, cages, newspaper, food and nuts for the birds, money to go towards their veterinary care. You won't find us on Facebook or Instagram at this point someone hacked the account and we filed a grievance with the Alabama State attorney general office, but we are a legitimate 501c3 non profit. You can find us on www.styxriverparrotrescue.com, Tik Tok or YouTube. We would greatly appreciate any help you can give. We are also piloting a program to have certain birds recognized as emotional support animals for the treatment of PTSD in veterans, police, first responders and battered woman. My boyfriend is a retired Alabama State Police officer, and I came from a battered woman syndrome. So, we both understand what PTSD is. It affected both of us in the last 3 years. I was going thru a rough divorce, and he has his own issues when we found a parrot rescue in Pensacola and we started volunteering there. The peace the birds brought us gave us the idea why couldn't we help birds that need a home and people that might be going thru what we are and maybe the birds can help them like they did. we now have a registered emotional support animal that's legally registered with the ESA We are working with several other birds to get them registered also and we can help others with PTSD get their bird registered with a doctor's note or counselors. We are setting up visits to schools, events, hospitals and veteran related events. You can reach us at 251-224-2951 it emails us at styxriverparrots@gmail.com. Thank you we would greatly appreciate any help.
