In Short: A Non-Fiction Flash Journal

In Short: A Journal of Flash Nonfiction is an independent online literary magazine for
flash nonfiction. We publish creative nonfiction of 1,000 words or fewer, micros of 400
words or fewer, and short-shorts of 100 words or less.
By publishing short-form creative nonfiction, we aim to provide a platform for writers who
lack the time and resources typically needed to pursue publication. Our goal is to
become a leading outlet for flash nonfiction, known for our commitment to quality,
diversity, and access.
This aligns with IAM’s mission because our goal is to broaden access in publishing—to
expand participation in the literary arts to those who are often shut out as a result of
limited resources.
