Stained Glass Meditations

Stained Glass Meditations consists of an installation of five stained glass paintings depicting mythological womxn protagonists that includes performance, guided meditation, and audience participation.

Stained Glass Meditations will bring to light the mistreatment of womxn mythological characters while also provoking us to reflect on how injustices related to gender persist in the present.

Selected stories from Ovid’s Metamorphoses will be reexamined and reimagined and will serve as a non-polarizing way for investigating contemporary issues of power and trauma, especially with respect to the intersections of gender, motherhood, and injustice.
