GPS4VETS Dragonfly Sanctuary for Women Veterans & Their Children - Tampa
par Global Pathway Studies Foundation IncGPS4VETS Dragonfly Sanctuary for Women Veterans & Their Children is a trauma‑informed stabilization and transitional support program serving single female veterans and their children who are experiencing homelessness, MST recovery, domestic violence, or crisis. Female veterans are 2–4x more likely to experience homelessness than civilian women, and an estimated 30% of homeless female veterans are mothers navigating trauma while trying to keep their families safe.
The Dragonfly Sanctuary mirrors the dragonfly’s journey — rising from the depths, transforming, and seeking a safe landing. Our Sanctuary provides that landing through:
Trauma‑informed case management
Transitional housing support
Family stabilization services
Workforce development pathways
Navigation to VA and community resources
Child‑centered support to reduce secondary trauma
This project supports the launch and operation of the Tampa, FL Sanctuary site, ensuring women veterans and their children have access to safety, dignity, and a renewed sense of home.
