Created in 2016 as a privately-funded volunteer effort, Covered With Christ (CWC) was formally established as a 501 (3) C, non-profit organization in 2020. We serve individuals who are struggling with life issues and challenges by offering God’s message of love, comfort and hope through providing Hope Blankets that are distributed by our mission partners; organizations, ministries, churches and individuals who share these blankets with the people they serve. Our Hope Blanket, a high-quality fleece fabric that features an imprint of our logo, inspiring silhouette of a soaring eagle and a scripture (Psalms 91, vs.1 and 4) offering a comforting message about dwelling in God’s shelter, being covered by his wings, finding rest and refuge under God’s shield of protection and love.
Our Hope Blankets offer a physical connection that expresses love and comfort to those struggling in difficult life situations. Since 2016 we have annually gifted over 8,000 blankets to over 40 Mission Partners who have shared them with the people they serve. Our mission partners have shared countless stories from Hope Blanket recipients who have expressed the positive impact of receiving a Hope Blanket. Many recipients love the warmth, coziness and comfort of the Blanket, and, others are grateful for the sweatshirt material that is easy to roll up and transport, and some are drawn to the appeal of the scripture as it seems to resonate directly with their personal experience and need. We are aware, too, that many are inspired by the majestic eagle that gives an uplifting message of strength and courage.
