Mental Health Therapy
HicksStrong matches licensed mental health therapists with veterans and active military members seeking services for a course of eight free one hour therapy sessions. The organization pays for these services at a reduced rate per session. At the end of the eight sessions, the therapist evaluates the participant and additional sessions are added if necessary, therapy is complete, or the participant is referred out for ongoing therapy.
HicksStrong staff work to ensure that the process of applying for and receiving services is quick and not a burden to the participant by responding to requests and referring to a therapist within 24 hours. Therapists engaged by HicksStrong commit to minimal wait times between initial evaluation and the first session.
Of the 97 participating in mental health therapy in 2021,
