Evolving Wellness has launched a program, July of 2020 serving children and families entitled, The Spectrum – Helping Children with Autism Thrive. This program blends education, resources and direct services for families managing the many challenges and opportunities that come with having a family member on the Autism Spectrum.
Sadly, many families who have a child with autism fall through the cracks of support provided by county agencies. Additional types of assistance are entirely or partially private pay or otherwise unavailable. This leaves the family sadly under-supported and left to fend for themselves.
After enrolling families, Evolving Wellness Health Navigators complete an assessment for each participating child to help determine which EW Provider’s services would best match the support needed. In addition to their direct services, each family will receive additional education and resources on: Nutrition/Gut Health and its effects on Autism, Environmental Wellness Counseling, The Need for Networking, Families Supporting Families, Parenting Tips on how to be your child’s champion and more.
All services and resources will be provided at no cost to the families.
In addition, each families’ plan will be implemented by a collaborative EW practitioner team, who will measure their progress throughout the program. Our Spectrum Committee will collect, analyze and review data as we move through this pilot process in order to develop an effective and successful program that will be implemented throughout the Chippewa Valley.
