Through our Ministry we offer a program akin to Big Brothers and Sisters. What sets us apart in how we do this is we focus on the arts and help to provide outlets and opportunities not normally accessible. It is our belief that art is an important tool in shaping and encouraging our youth to strive for the betterment of themselves and the world around them. Focusing on veterans is a key part of VLM. Our team is dedicated to help veterans in several ways: resources, education, and film projects
RESOURCES: One of our goals is to help veterans find the resources they need. Whether you are retired, active duty, guard, or reserve-we will share information here that you need. This page will be updated routinely for you.
EDUCATION: Many of our staff members are former military or have had family members serve and church members. This direct knowledge enables us to better understand the challenges that our inner city youth, our community and our veterans face every day. Our commitment to you will be to keep this page updated with focused education programs. For example-mental health education, youth mental program and others.
FILM PROJECTS: Our team believes that a great way to reach people is through film projects. VLM are working to support on several projects right now with many people which will help inner city youth to make their dream come true.
"One Hundred Percent” depicts the story of an American Airman who is horribly burned in a combat mission. Although he survives, he must now deal with many more intense battles with his recovery.
PTSD: This film is a true story and an adaptation from a book with the same title from a woman, Cindy Vann, whose husband died in 2014. It is a remarkable story (In development).
We will explore many more opportunities to connect with churches, inner city youth group, local community, veterans and connect them to meaningful social media opportunities, try to bring the support and resources for them and their families.
