“The war isn't over when our American Heroes return home.” After returning home from deployment, many Veterans deal with the difficult transition to civilian life in one way or another. Experiencing a traumatic event and/or being seriously injured can make the transition even more challenging and can lead Veterans to Substance Use Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, homelessness, and suicide. In fact, a study conducted in 2021 (https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/papers/2021/Suicides) found that at least four times as many active duty personnel and war veterans of post-9/11 conflicts have died of suicide than in combat, as an estimated 30,177 have died by suicide as compared with the 7,057 killed in action. Additionally, millions of Americans carry the burden of war as spouses, parents, children, and friends. For these individuals, coping with their loved ones’ absence, mourning their deaths, or greeting the changed person who often returns can be extremely difficult.

Our Veterans and their families shouldn’t have to deal with the effects of war in their daily lives, and The Patriot Fund strives to be the much-needed foundation for our troops and their families to help smooth over the transition into normal life. Our mission is to provide funding for the critical services Veterans deserve to ensure their lifelong needs are sustained. We host fundraising events designed to inspire and educate the community about the needs of our local Veterans and motivate our audience to provide support through The Patriot Fund, where we perform accountable due diligence to fully vet and only support Best in Class Veteran-centric non-profit organizations who are making a substantial impact in the lives of Veterans and their families.
