TOKAS FRIENDS

Our brave service members experience situations that can negatively impact their lives forever. Toka's Friends believes that we can do more to help these courageous men and women who continue to fight battles long after they have left the field of combat. We believe in the healing powers of dogs and their ability to help veterans overcome the effects of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

Toka's Friends is serving veterans primarily in the Northeast region of the US who are suffering from PTSD, TBI and/or related challenges. At no cost to our veterans we provide the following services:

- select and acquire dogs suitable for service dog work.
- perform obedience training and advanced training for selected dogs.
- socialize dogs in all aspects of public service dog work.
- match service dogs in training with veterans and complete the team training
- complete final certification testing of veteran/dog teams
- provide ongoing training and support for the veteran/dog teams
