The National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (NVTSI), a 501(c)(3) headquartered in San Diego, California, is seeking support to develop and scale Veteran Match — an Artificial Intelligence–based job-matching platform for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses.

The annual program cost of $250,000 covers maintenance, programming, marketing, and development to ensure the tool remains cutting-edge, accessible, and impactful.

The Need

Veterans exit military service with valuable and technical skillsets, yet often struggle to translate their experiences into civilian career language. Many existing employment programs rely solely on military occupational specialties or keyword searches, which fail to capture the breadth of veterans’ skills, passions, and potential.

Meanwhile, employers — especially small and midsize businesses — struggle to find and retain qualified veteran talent. They are overwhelmed by fragmented resources, multiple job boards, and time-consuming hiring processes, leaving meaningful connections untapped.

While unemployment among veterans has improved, underemployment remains a persistent problem, with many veterans unable to find purpose-driven careers that align with their training and values.
