CAVALRY

CAVALRY (Center for Acknowledging the Values Accomplishments and Lives of Remarkable Youth) is a minority woman-led nonprofit that educates and empowers underserved youth, special populations, veterans, and individuals seeking upskilling through project management.
Initially, CAVALRY served over 300 youth with leadership skills via community service projects for nonprofits. In 2021, to further enhance marketability and financial stability, CAVALRY expanded its offerings to include a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program in Project Management. The program offers various benefits, including certifications, apprenticeship, and OJT/hands-on experience. Our corporate collaborations have resulted in a national network of over 150 employers eager to hire our project managers.
The CAVALRY Corps CARES program is a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program aimed at underserved youth, special populations, veterans, and individuals seeking upskilling opportunities in project management. Our program offers a comprehensive approach that includes apprenticeship opportunities, workshops, and educational sessions tailored to our target audience. We prioritize educating participants about the benefits of apprenticeship programs and guide them through the process of developing career progression plans. As a Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program in project management, we recognize the diverse range of industries that require skilled project managers. These industries span healthcare, construction, finance, event planning, and information technology, among others.

2. Corporate Collaborations: Through strategic partnerships with over 150 employers, CAVALRY has established a national network. This network is eager to hire our project managers, providing diverse job opportunities with salaries ranging from $45,000 to $100,000+.
3. OJT/Hands-on Experience: Participants contribute to the growth and economic impact of the community by applying project management skills to real projects benefiting local nonprofit organizations and underserved Title I schools.
4. Job Market Impact: The program addresses the growing need for project managers, with approximately 7,000 project management jobs in Texas and 33 million nationwide. By building and diversifying the talent pipeline, CAVALRY bridges the gap between employers and skilled individuals.
