"Comforts of Recovery: Daily Essentials for Healing"

par RECOVERY CENTERS OF ARKANSAS INC

Comforts of Recovery is a donation-based initiative by Recovery Centers of Arkansas, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable, compassionate care to individuals recovering from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We serve men, women, and veterans through residential treatment and recovery housing programs across Arkansas.

This project aims to secure in-kind donations of ground coffee and individually wrapped snack items to support the daily routines of those in recovery. For our clients, small comforts like a morning cup of coffee or a quick snack between group sessions can bring calm, connection, and a sense of dignity. These simple items also play an important role in helping individuals establish healthy routines, feel at home in treatment, and stay engaged in the recovery process.

In addition to serving approximately 150–200 clients each month, these donations will benefit our dedicated staff—many of whom are in recovery themselves—by providing much-needed energy and opportunities for shared moments with the people they support.

Requested Support:

Ground Coffee – 20 to 40 pounds (for use across multiple program sites)

Individually Wrapped Snack Items – 300 to 400 servings (e.g., granola bars, pastries, crackers)

Donated items will be distributed across our residential and recovery housing campuses and used in day-to-day programming, morning routines, community meetings, and client check-ins. Contributions to this project will directly support recovery in action—providing small, meaningful comforts to people doing the hard work of rebuilding their lives.
