Lime Connect believes that individuals are not defined by their disabilities, and having a disability is but one element of who they are as a person. We also believe that many strengths and benefits can accompany a disability, and we coach and encourage individuals to focus on those strengths and the great value they can contribute to an employer as a result. Our programs and support provide tools, self-confidence, community, and connections that help disabled individuals to achieve their dreams.
Lime Connect hosts "The Lime Community," designed as the go-to for talent, education, and community for all who have an interest in the disability talent space.
Four distinct communities exist:
1. The Lime Network Community (private), for university students and professionals (including veterans) who have any type of disability; who can access educational tools, coaching, peer communities, leadership programs, scholarships, recruitment receptions, and all career opportunities with our corporate partners;
2. The University Community, for career and disability services professionals and any faculty or staff who are interested in learning, and supporting, students and alumni with disabilities as well as connecting with peers;
3. Lime Corporate Partner Community, for all employees of current corporate partners to access training and education, connect with other partners, and host corporate partner groups to welcome and engage with Lime Network members; and
4. Friends of Lime, designed for allies, friends, parents, high school career/financial aid counselors, non-corporate partner employers and all who have an interest in learning more about disability, Lime Connect programs and services (including leadership programs and scholarships), and sharing/building community among peers.
With active forums and posts, all Lime Community members can be as engaged as desired, and be a part of helping the world to understand the real strengths and talents that can accompany disabilities.
There is no cost for programs and services, and Lime Connect is especially grateful for the financial support of individuals and foundations who value our work to rebrand disability through achievement!
