Thurman Brisben Center
FREDERICKSBRG, VirginiaThe Thurman Brisben Center is our community’s 80-bed, year-round, emergency homeless center offering a starting point on the bridge to restoration for hundreds of the areas homeless annually for more than a decade. This unique residential shelter never closes and frugally serves homeless men, women, children and veterans from our greater community. What is the Brisben Center?
In FY 2017, the Brisben Center served 502 unduplicated men, women and children; 77 were children, 45 were veterans. The Center provided 27,108 total bed nights to clients from the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford as well as the City of Fredericksburg.
