SKY Schools - Breathing Life into Education

SKY Schools is a mind-body social-emotional learning program. It is a program of the International Association for Human Values (IAHV). IAHV is an international, UNESCO non-governmental organization, founded to reduce stress and develop leaders so that human values can flourish in people and communities.

Our mission at SKY Schools is to create stress-free, violence-free schools and school communities by equipping students, parents, and teachers with tools to manage stress and navigate the social-emotional landscape of life.

We support students, educators and parents with programs to alleviate stress and optimize success, thus improving the teaching and learning environment and supporting school and community transformation. When school community members learn how to manage their stress in a healthy way, they exhibit greater confidence and motivation to succeed in school and beyond, and make healthy choices when faced with life’s challenges.

Our Core Values are “Empowerment, Awareness, Exploration, Individual and Social Responsibility.” These values include a sense of belonging to a common humanity, respect for all people, cultures, and traditions, respect for the natural environment, an attitude of non-violence and an ethic of social service.
