CareLink of Northwest Georgia is a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to serving the uninsured and the under-insured adult residents of Paulding and surrounding counties in Northwest GA. CareLink is a primary care health clinic. Providers are actively working and retired internal and family practice MDs, DOs, PAs and nurse practitioners with current licenses.
No one is turned away but services are not free, instead using a sliding scale based upon Federal Poverty Guidelines. CareLink believes that each individual needs to make a personal investment in their own health, hence a small financial payment is expected. Paulding County is a bedroom community for those working in other areas of the greater Atlanta GA area as well as having a robust small business environment. The population of uninsured was 12% based upon the 2024 County Health Rankings report.
CareLink is Paulding counties only charity clinic offering primary care health treatment. We are open by appointment only. Our hours of operation are Tuesdays 8:30 - 2:00 and Saturdays 8:30 - 12:00.
Over the past six years of being open, we have seen more patients utilizing our service each year of business. CareLink is a community partner of Wellstar Health System. We have formal MOUs with The Northrop Connection and Highland Rivers. This allows CareLink to provide behavioral health referral services for issues facing our patient population suffering with anxiety, stress and depression as we do not have a certified counselor on site. We have an MOU with Giving Health, which provides telehealth services (behavioral and primary care) to CareLink patients as an alternative to Emergency Departments.
In addition, we offer free eye exams and reduced price new glasses in partnership with the Lighthouse Foundation quarterly. We offer Red Cross Blood Drives quarterly as well.
CareLink continually looks for additional ways to serve an underserved population and will continually do so. Your support, whether donating your expertise or financial assistance will allow us to continue to serve.
