DURHAM, North CarolinaThe Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice engages diverse communities to lift up the life and legacy of activist, legal scholar, feminist, poet, Episcopal priest and LGBTQ community member, Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray, in order to tackle enduring inequities and injustice in our nation. To realize a world in which wholeness is a human right for all not the privilege of a few, the Pauli Murray Center actively works toward fairness and justice across divisions such as race, class, sexual and gender identity, and spiritual practice that often divide us. We embrace the transformative power of collecting and telling our stories and our truths as a process that heals these divisions and promotes human rights.
The Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that curates programs and creates architectures for engagement. Curated programs include exhibits, webinars, and educational programming that lifts up the life and legacy of Pauli Murray and stories of neighbors, activists and others.
