Saving Paws Rescue AZ is a dog rescue organization specializing in German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois dogs that provides veterinary care, evaluation and adoption/placement services for these at risk dogs. Since inception over 700 dogs have been rescued. While if foster homes or in the SPRAZ rescue center, volunteers work to care for, develop trust and prepare the dogs for adoptive homes. SPRAZ does not consider age, medical conditions or behavioral challenges to be an automatic death sentence. They are often considered unadoptable by other rescues. SPRAZ works with other charitable organizations that support military veterans by supplying appropriate younger dogs to be trained for a service dog role with an in-need veteran. Adoptive homes are screened and home visits performed by volunteers. SPRAZ ensures that dogs receive vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter before final transfer to adoptive homes
