NTWGA has been in existence for over 9 years. We serve primarily combat disabled veterans in the Dallas Fort Worth geographic area. Each service connected disabled veteran is screened via a face to face interview and must provide his/her VA authorized percentage of disability. We also require a copy of their DD-214 discharge certificate. All disabled veterans attend an 8 week clinic upon acceptance in which they learn to play golf, instructed by PGA qualified professionals. Upon attending a minimum number of clinic days, they are awarded, without cost, a complete set of fitted golf clubs and various pieces of equipment. They are then eligible to attend free golf days and trips upon their continued participation in our program. We have both men and women veterans. Our minority level of participation exceeds 20% each year. We also have an annual family/Christmas event for veterans and their families. We also have a spouses program for them to meet each other. All board members of NTWGA serve in a 100% volunteer capacity as do all Alumni. We do not pay anyone for acting on our behalf in terms of hired employees. Of all of all donations annually, over 95% of all monies are directly for Veterans Programs. The remaining 5% is for to store equipment, liability insurance and minor admin overhead. A CPA reviews all of our expenses and revenue on an ongoing basis and has for the last three years. He also produces our 990-EZ to the IRS. We are very careful and frugal in how we spend our hard earned dollars from generous donors.
