Coming Out of the Dark Incorporated is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Document No. N26000006492) headquartered in St. Petersburg. Founded and led by Michelle Cevolo, our organization was established to address the critical gaps in the transition process for individuals moving from crisis or institutional settings back into stable, productive community life. We operate with a fundamental belief that "coming out of the dark" requires more than just a roof—it requires a foundation of dignity, resources, and a supportive network.

Our mission is to illuminate the path toward self-sufficiency through comprehensive transitional housing and holistic reintegration services. We serve the Greater Pinellas County area, focusing on individuals who face systemic barriers to stability, including those experiencing homelessness, individuals in recovery, and those transitioning from the justice system.

Our flagship initiative is the development and management of safe, high-quality transitional housing. This includes maintaining facilities that are well-managed, safe, and integrated into the fabric of the neighborhood.

2. Community Reintegration Services

Re-entering society after a period of instability is a complex process. Our program provides "navigational support" to help participants:

By providing stable housing and tailored reintegration plans, we are working to reduce the strain on local emergency services and contribute to the overall safety and economic health of our community.
