Indigenous Peoples Day, a significant celebration on the second Monday of October each year, is a time to honor and recognize the rich culture and history of indigenous American peoples. Your support through a single donation to the Indigenous Peoples Fund is a powerful way to show your appreciation and connection to this important day. Your donation will support Indigenous-led nonprofits focused on building Indigenous power, protecting and restoring land and culture, and strengthening and supporting healthy Native communities. The composition of nonprofits in this fund is subject to change; however, your support will always have a significant impact. The cause is of utmost importance, and your help is urgently needed.
Your Donation Supports
Indigenous Environmental Network
IEN is an alliance of grassroots Indigenous peoples whose mission is to protect the sacredness of Mother Earth from contamination and exploitation by strengthening, maintaining, and respecting Indigenous teachings and natural laws.
Honor the Earth
Our mission is to raise awareness and support for Native environmental issues, and to develop the necessary financial and political resources for the survival and sustainability of Native communities. Honor the Earth develops these resources by utilizing music, the arts, media, and Indigenous wisdom to encourage people to acknowledge our shared dependence on the Earth and serve as a voice for those who are not heard.
The Cultural Conservancy
To protect and restore indigenous cultures, empowering them in the direct application of traditional knowledge and practices on their ancestral lands.
Sogorea Te Land Trust
Sogorea Te' Land Trust is an urban, Indigenous women-led land trust based in the San Francisco Bay Area, facilitating the return of Indigenous land to Indigenous peoples. Through the practices of Rematriation, a process of returning land to the stewardship of the original Indigenous women, cultural revitalization, and land restoration, Sogorea Te' calls on native and non-native peoples to heal and transform the legacies of colonization, genocide, and patriarchy and to do the work our ancestors and future generations are calling us to do.
Partnership With Native Americans
Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit committed to championing hope for a brighter future for Native Americans living on remote, isolated, and often impoverished reservations. As a BBB-accredited charity and Combined Federal Campaign participant, PWNA collaborates with hundreds of reservation program partners to serve immediate needs and support long-term solutions for strong, self-sufficient Native American communities. PWNA provides consistent aid and services for Native Americans with the highest needs in the U.S., benefiting up to 200,000 Native Americans annually. We care about the quality of life for Native Americans and support self-determined goals of the tribes, providing critical supplies and support for education, capacity building, and community investment.
