One Step Closer Therapeutic Riding is an award winning, adaptive horseback riding program serving children and adults with special needs, and equine-assisted-therapy for U.S. Military Veterans. OSC is a Premier Accredited Center of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH).
The adaptive riding program serves individuals with diagnoses that includes autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, brain tumor, traumatic brain injury, developmental delays, and more. The youngest age we accept is 4 years. There is no upper age limit. Our special needs riders attend a one-hour lesson once per week, year-round.
OSC's military outreach provides equine-assisted-therapy to more than 200 Veterans per year in partnership with Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. In addition, OSC hosts special events for families of fallen soldiers.
OSC was founded in 2006 to serve communities in the south bay area. We are located in Morgan Hill, easy to reach from highway 101 and Tennant Avenue. OSC serves all people without bias of race, religious beliefs, or economic status.
OSC is supported by a tremendous team of volunteers.
