Coach Joe McDonald Sun Devil Football Scholarship

This scholarship is named in honor of the late Joe McDonald, whose storied career as a player, coach and administrator at ASU spanned two decades. During his tenure, McDonald was known for championing those around him. J. D. Hill, who excelled under McDonald’s guidance and went on to the NFL, remembered his coach fondly: “He wanted us to succeed, and he wanted to always give our best on and off the field.” This fund continues McDonald’s legacy by directly supporting student-athlete football players who might otherwise struggle with the costs of attending ASU.
