KETAMINE TASKFORCE INC

The Ketamine Taskforce is a 100% volunteer based organization. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and include: veterans, doctors, lawyers, nurses, nurse practitioners, CRNAs, and many others, who have come together in a common cause of helping others. Ketamine, an old anesthetic drug, has been found to have amazing effects in treating depression and certain types of chronic pain. Unfortunately, it’s not an FDA approved drug for these uses. Therefore, it is not covered by most insurance companies.
The Taskforce seeks to get Ketamine approved and on label for Major Depression and Chronic Pain uses by the FDA. We know that this will take time. We are currently in the process of beginning our first research study to fill in the gaps that are missing from current research studies on ketamine usage for chronic pain and depression. Our team are also in the midst of finding other ways to support vulnerable populations. This includes veterans and first responders, who are prone to suicidal ideation. The Taskforce has begun an online support group that meets over zoom monthly, for veterans and first responders to encourage one another. Aside from these, our team is fundraising to build a healing and retreat center for those in need. There, we will bring veterans, first responders, and others in need of healing, for 5 days of therapy with Ketamine and other treatments including yoga, massage, meditation, and more. Ketamine is a life saving medication. It is the only drug that can stop suicidal ideation within one to three doses, as opposed to traditional antidepressants that can take months to work. We are going to be filming a documentary-series about an extremely vulnerable and often forgotten population, women veterans. This will be a six-part series focusing on how ketamine can be used to change the lives of those suffering from PTSD and service related injuries.
