NEW MEXICO VETERANS AND FAMILIES FOUNDATION

Our major program goal is to provide benefit claims assistance as needed to all veterans throughout New Mexico. The staff of our VFW Veterans Service Office provides professional advocacy services to veterans and their families and assists in applying for federal benefits. Our Foundation facilitates aid for elderly and hospitalized veterans and their families in need of medical and rehabilitative care, along with educational and employment services. Support and services are provided to deploying and returning service members. We provide resources to families of service members who are deployed. We promote citizenship education, volunteerism, and positive youth programs, by providing youth scholarships. Our essay themes challenge students to reflect on our nation's history, their ideals and principles, and their own experiences. We provide scholarships to members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who display standout citizenship, patriotism, and love of country. The VFW New Mexico Foundation is committed to improving the lives of veterans and service personnel, their families, and their communities.
