The Oath To Country Foundation (OTCF) has successfully completed 25 home restoration projects for elderly veterans and first responders across Southern California within the first two years of Operation Hero Home Restoration. The program serves elderly individuals (62+ years), persons with disabilities, low/fixed-income households, those at risk of homelessness, and households flagged for unsafe or uninhabitable conditions by code enforcement. We focus on identifying elderly heroes living in deteriorating housing conditions that require critical and immediate repairs. Our program is based on equity, ensuring everyone has a fair and just opportunity to live a healthy life, regardless of their financial situation.
With the help of community volunteers—including state and local elected officials, veterans, first responders, children with special needs, teachers, lawyers, at-risk youth, individuals with disabilities, union workers, and contractors—we tackle various issues such as landscaping, hoarding cleanup, pest control, roofing and plumbing repairs, installation of handicap ramps and rails, bathroom remodeling, and in-home cleaning and sanitizing. We provide real-time solutions to complex problems, creating measurable and lasting impacts in communities where help is needed most.
The program aims to identify single or multifamily homeowners who are elderly, low-income, disadvantaged, vulnerable, or at risk of homelessness in Southern California communities. By providing housing rehabilitation assistance, we aim to protect public health and promote neighborhood revitalization. Our efforts address health, safety, and security issues in and around homes, with a focus on clean and sustainable living.
In response to the high costs of water usage due to drought conditions in California, we apply our expertise in drought-tolerant landscape remodeling. This helps homeowners reduce water consumption, positively impacting economic welfare, public health, and ecological well-being. Our work in designing and implementing eco-friendly, visually appealing, and fire-preventative landscapes has significantly helped homeowners save water and maintain their yards efficiently.
