Think Veterans First is a Veteran centric organization that was approved for 501(c)(3) status on May 31, 2020. Our motto is: “Veterans Entrepreneurs Winning Together thru Teamwork and Collaboration”. Think Veterans First advocates for veteran owned businesses by providing advertisement, promotion, and by hosting events to showcase veteran owned business to help them grow their businesses.
By growing their businesses, veteran businesses could hire other veterans or hire other members in their communities which in turn will strengthen communities, and strengthen the overall economy. With more than 2.5 million businesses operated/owned by veterans nationwide, just think of what we could achieve if we took the teamwork and leadership skills that we learned from the field and stopped to help a fellow Veteran succeed in their business aspirations? It would be a pretty amazing feat to say the least! The Buy Vet initiative will accomplish three things:
• Create an all-inclusive, comprehensive “Vet List” i.e. Veteran business owners list where we can identify and find one another to offer support;
• Create a “Vet Net” i.e. Veterans Network where veterans will have opportunities to network, meet other veteran entrepreneurs, and share best practices for growth;
• Advocate for a shopper “Buy Veteran” week in conjunction with Veterans Day so shoppers can identify a Veteran Owned Business and shop during the Buy Vet week.
Think Veterans First is a national initiative By Veterans, For Veterans, and will use Veteran Owned Businesses to support this worth-while initiative. Look For the “Think Veterans First” logo to identify the veteran owned businesses in your community! This initiative has the potential to become an international organization as every country has veterans who have proudly served their countries. Supporting their small businesses is a way to thank them for their service.
